Awesome and Challenging Message

Title: Dr. Charles Stanley - The Measure Of Our Love - Part 2 - Listen to Free Online In Touch Christian Radio BroadcastsLink: http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/in-touch-ministries/listen/the-measure-of-our-love-part-2-157482.html

a life lived for Jesus....

Happened upon this article just now about a Pastor of a Baptist church in Arlington, TX and his elderly secretary that were attacked yesterday at the church where they served. The Pastor Clint Dobson was killed during the attack and his secretary is in critical condition. My heart goes out to the family members and church members that are experiencing this great loss. After reading the Pastor Dobson's blog ( http://mynorthpointe.org/?cat=1 ) it is evident that he lived his life for the Christ and is now personally experiencing all the unspeakable joy that God has for those who trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. What a reminder that our life here on earth is so short and that it should be lived sold-out for Jesus and to glory of an Almighty God.

"God Gave Us So Much" by Lisa Tawn Bergren

God Gave Us So Much by Lisa Tawn Bergren is a great addition to your home library and is perfect for reading discussing with your children. There are actually three books in one presented in this appealing limited-edition treasury - God Gave Us the World, God Gave Us Love, and God Gave Us Heaven.
I thoroughly enjoyed each of the three stories and especially the winsome artwork illustrated by Laura J. Bryant. The only downside of the this book is that the stories seemed somewhat drawn-out at times. My child's attention struggled at the tedious dialogue of Little Bear's many, many questions.

All in all, I think its a great book for young ones in that it gets them thinking and asking questions about God and gives parents an opportunity to share in more detail about how God is always at work in each of our lives.

(I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for review purposes.)
